An inverse function is a function that reverses another function. To find the inverse of a function, there is three easy steps to follow. First, you have to treat "f(x)" as a "y." Following that, replace all x's with y's, and all y's with x's. The final step is to just simply solve for y. In order to verify that you solved the problem correctly, getting the inverse function, you can graph both the function you started with and the function you ended up with. If they show to be the opposite of eachother, then you got the correct answer.
On the other hand though, sometimes the inverse of a function isn't always a function.
