Working with clay is always one of the most fun yet difficult to work with. Decided to make a bird feeder, thinking I would keep it somewhat simple. However, it was a lot more harder than I would have ever thought. Keeping all the sides together and straight up was probably what made it the most difficult, due to the clay being somewhat flimsy and wet still. After flattening out the clay out and cutting it into rectangular slabs. From there, I joined the slabs to create sides of the soon-to-be bird feeder using slit, forming them together. I then left it to dry together some. After, I took a sharp tool and carved designs on the top of the feeder. This project enhanced my knowledge on how to work with clay, and how to use slabs joined together to form an object.
